The whole country couldn’t contain its joy over the past two weekends as Filipinos took over the Coachella music festival.

We cheered, we cried, and we definitely grooved along with BINI as they made their mark on the global stage and proudly introduced Pinoy pop (P-pop) to a jam-packed crowd with unending energy. Sophia Laforteza also held her own, proudly raising the Philippine flag as KATSEYE shared the Sahara stage with some of the biggest names in pop culture and entertainment. Even the Department of Tourism (DOT) didn’t hesitate to express its gratitude, honoring both artists for their exceptional performances that trended worldwide.
BINI and Sophia were already enough for us to scream, “Uy, Philippines!” as we tuned in to Coachella’s livestreams. What made their remarkable feats even better, though, was seeing all the Filipino celebrities who flew out to California in support of their kababayans.

Fashion has been essential to Coachella ever since the festival’s first year. While international celebrities and content creators turned the desert into their runway, these Filipino artists also stole the show with their trendy, festival-ready get-ups. Here are a few that we can’t get enough of:
Anne Curtis
No, this isn’t fake news. Nasa Coachella ang nag-iisang dyosa! Watching BINI make history was an experience she wouldn’t miss for the world.
Maja Salvador
Maja Salvador also attended BINI’s set at the Mojave stage, grinning from ear to ear with the rest of the energetic crowd.
