Winner winner chicken dinner!
Whenever we crave chicken wings, one top of mind choice is Frankie’s NY Buffalo Wings. With branches scattered along Pasig, Quezon City, Makati, Taguig, and even down South in Molito, this shop is known for deep-fried chicken wings in your choice of finger-licking glaze. And personally, their Buffalo Wings are still my fave.
Normally, Frankie’s offers their wings in a basket, complete with sauce on the side when you dine-in. On the other hand, if you got it through takeaway or delivery, expect it to come in a cardboard box.
But Buffalo Wings on top of a cake? Now, that’s something new, all right.
Just recently, Instagram user @theflourgirl made a birthday cake—dubbed as the Happy Meal—that featured Frankie’s Buffalo Chicken wings on top of a cornbread cake. Lined with mashed potato icing, the cake also included some twister fries on top, along with Spam mac ‘n cheese and blue cheese on the side.
“Never thought I’d be making a cake with Buffalo Chicken wings, not to mention with cornbread, mashed potato, Spam mac ‘n cheese, twister fries and blue cheese on the side,” her post read. “Now this is what you call a Happy Meal!!!”
In turn, Frankie’s reposted the photo with the caption: “Anything is possible! Just ask @theflourgirl, who used our Classic Buffalo Wings and Twister Fries to come up with this imaginative cake.”
Whoever Carlo is, he sure is one lucky birthday celebrant. Happy Birthday indeed!
