LOOK: Filipina Artists Featured In GRAMMYS’ Rising Girl Group List

Filipina artists continue to dominate the international music scene!

The Nation’s girl group BINI and global girl group UNIS are included in GRAMMY’s “12 Rising Girl Groups To Know Now” list.

On October 3, the GRAMMYS published a list featuring rising and emerging girl groups from around the world that will “continue to push the boundaries of girl group culture.”

BINI, the sole Filipino act featured in the list, was recognized for leading the rise of P-Pop in one of the fastest-growing music markets worldwide. The list also recognized the eight talented members of the phenomenal P-pop girl group: Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoannna, and Sheena.

Meanwhile, the South Korean girl group UNIS, which includes two Filipinas, Gehlee and Elisia, as well as Filipina-Korean Hyeonju, was also recognized on the list.

According to the GRAMMYs, UNIS marked “some of the first Filipino idols in the K-pop industry” following their debut in March 2024.

Apart from BINI and UNIS, ARTMS, Blackswan, Citizen Queen, FLO, KISS OF LIFE, NiziU, Say Now, SZNS, Say Now, and 4EVE were also recognized in the list.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE received recognition from the prestigious award-giving body. With the release of their debut album, SIS (Soft Is Strong), the global girl group is working to establish their presence in the industry while gaining worldwide recognition and building a strong global fanbase that supports their continuous success.
