With a similar tune to Janet Jackson’s “Together Again”, the newly released “Barbie” original soundtrack’s chorus goes: “When I close my eyes, it’s a fantasy/Perfect plastic life from a magazine/Then when I wake up, it’s reality (Pretty girls)/I can have it all (Yeah), live my Barbie dreams (Barbie dreams).”

Kaliii breaks it down in her verse, with a line that goes: “I give looks and set the trends/We all look good, it’s me and friends.”

The “Barbie” movie stars Margot Robbie, who plays the titular role, and Ryan Gosling as Ken. It is set to open in Philippine cinemas on July 19, if allowed by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

The country’s regulatory board is currently reviewing the Greta Gerwig-directed film following its ban in Vietnam due to a scene that includes a map that appears to depict the controversial nine-dash line. Its final decision is yet to be announced, as of writing this article.
