Remember Traders Hotel? Around 2 years ago, the Traders Hotel brand was replaced and re-branded to Hotel Jen – Shangri-La Groupโs newest four-star hotel brand dedicated to the modern millennial traveler.
If youโre a lover of life, fun, adventure and discovery, then youโll surely love staying at Hotel Jen. I had my first Hotel Jen experience in Singapore early this year, and I was simply blown away with the unique experience,ย thatย I immediately booked a stay at Hotel Jen Manila as soon as I came back.
Well, Hotel Jen Manilaโs building may be a lot older compared to the one in Singapore (since this is still the original Traders Hotel building thatโs been existing for many years), but I may say, they were still able to provide guests with that distinct โJenโ hospitality.
With this, Iโd like to share with you this week the 5 things I so love about Hotel Jen Manilaโฆ.
5. Classy, yet casual
Truth is, most 4 and 5 star hotels are very formal and quite intimidating. But here at Hotel Jen, you can simply let loose and be casual. No need to always be in formal attire, nor will you see their front office dressed in elegant gowns and suits.
Here at Hotel Jen Manila, their front office staff even wear jeans, perhaps to make guests feel more at ease. But yeah, even if you see them wearingย jeans, youโll still feel that certain casual chic and professional vibe.
Their rooms are spacious and well maintained with a sleep experience similar to a 5-star luxury hotel. The overlooking Manila Bay window view here at Hotel Jen Manila is simply captivating.
4. That โJenโ feeling
Ok, how do I describe this? Itโs really kinda hard, but let me tryโฆ For me, that โJen feelingโ is that indescribable feeling of being inspired to be more adventurous on things like trying out new flavors, cultures and extraordinary experiences.
Love that “Jen Feeling”
Personally for me, I find it amazing how a hotel brand like Hotel Jen is able to communicateย and understand me on a whole different level. I feel like I’m being supported to go for the things I aim to achieve and experience. I feel more driven to explore because somehow, I know “Jen” is there to keep me comfortable and help me with all that I need. With “Jen,” I can simply be my awesome self.
3. Kitsho Japanese Restaurant & Sake Bar
Anotherย cherished memory during our weekend stay at Hotel Jen Manila, was that remarkable dinner over at Kitsho Japanese Restaurant located at the ground floor.
discovered my new favorite Japanese resto…
We enjoyed their daily Japanese buffet offer at only P988 nett/head. With this, you can enjoy all your favorite Japanese dishes from sukiyaki, sushi, sashimi, tepanyaki, tempura and so much more! There were not much people when we visited, so I really think they need to promote this place that’s so full of potential! This place is seriously one of the best Japanese restos in the metro today! If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese Buffet that’s unbelievably affordable, then remember Kitsho!
2. Hi-Speed FREE internet
Because Jenย understands our need for fast efficient internet connection, she provides it for FREE, everywhere, always.
Aside from perpetual fast free wifi, Hotel Jen Manila also providesย the ff:
- Outdoor swimming pool
- Fully-equipped fitness center

- 24-hour in-room Order-In
- Massage treatments
- Exclusive Club Lounge benefits
- Free shuttle service to Mall of Asia
plus a little more extras…

1. Theirย Executive Club Lounge with an amazing overlooking view of Manila Bay
Now this one needs no introduction…. Just take a look….
wow!
WOW!
Best place to witness the famous Manila sunset
Here’s a photo of me at my most favorite spot at the Executive Club Lounge…
I vividly remember spending quiet sunset afternoons here while sipping my favorite chardonnay and nibbling onto palate tinglingย hors d’oeuvres. At this very spot is where I usually rekindle my love-hate relationship with Manila. I must admit that whenever I see this site, I couldn’t help but fall in-love with my country all over again. Pretty much a great place if you need a spark of inspiration.
*sigh* Hopefully when schedule permits, I really would love to spend a couple of days here again for some quality R&R. I really miss hanging out at their Executive Club Lounge.ย Even non checked-in guests can also get to experience this spectacular view with their Windows by the Bay from 7:30pm onwards daily at the 19th floor. If you just wanna chill with friends and appreciate the Manila scenery at night, this place is truly impressive….. plus their pica-pica menu is also quite affordable. =)
Hotel Jen Manilaย is a like a loaded treasure chest awaiting to be discovered.ย Definitely another highly recommended hotel, especially for millennialsย when in Manila!
