This is why if you’re planning to travel, it’s best to stay vigilant and be careful about the people you transact with, lest you end up with thousands of pesos shelled out, without the dream vacation you planned.

A netizen posted a story on Facebook about her supposed transaction with a travel agent, Stella P.

They negotiated a three-day trip for 19 people to Caramoan, Camarines Sur, and paid her in full before their scheduled trip, including accommodation, transportation and other fees. When they got to the port, however, the netizen started getting suspicious as they didn’t have a shuttle service waiting for them. After renting their own transportation to the hotel, they were surprised as they were informed that there was no booking made in their name, and that Stella was no longer an active agent in the hotel anymore. The netizen even posted photos of the alleged scammer.
