EXO’s Xiumin attends EXO concert while still pursuing his mandatory military service

Kim Minseok, better known for his stage name Xiumin, was the first member of Korean boy band EXO who enlisted for his mandatory military service. The singer started his basic training as an active-duty soldier back in May 2019. Xiumin even wrote a short but sweet message for his fans on Instagram. He said, “You are all of the reasons that I walk,” which is reportedly said to be lyrics from his upcoming track “You,” and also added, “Here are some more [photos]. Goodbye for now.”

Despite all this, EXO’s oldest member still made sure to surprise the younger members with a sudden appearance at EXO PLANET #5 – Exploration in Seoul Day 6 at the KSPO Dome. He went to the concert together with Super Junior members Lee Donghae and Choi Siwon.

A lot of fans were surprised, and Xiumin’s name even entered the worldwide trends because of his sudden appearance. Currently, both EXO’s Xiumin and D.O. are now serving the military, and won’t be with the rest of the members during their Manila concert this August 23 and 24.
