Actress Bella Thorne has publicly announced on Twitter that she and ex-girlfriend YouTube star Tana Mongeau are no longer friendly exes after she accused Tana of breaking the “girl code.”
“Tana and I are no longer good. She broke girl code I’m over it,” Bella declared.
Tana, who made headlines for her whirlwind romance and sudden engagement to Jake Paul — one-half of infamous YouTube duo the Paul Brothers — couldn’t help but express her shock over Bella’s tweet.
“[Imagine] taking every time [you’re] mad at me to twitter but then telling [people] how much [you] care about me… [what the f***] is this,” she wrote back.
Bella decided to continue the argument by criticizing Tana of using her for Twitter clout. “[You] legit started dating me for Twitter… how about [you] answer [your] phone and talk to me instead of being on Twitter,” she said.
In frustration, Tana replied: “Dude what are you doing Bella? Like I have no idea why you’re mad, I’ve been texting you every minute since you tweeted, and for you to be tweeting me something as hurtful as saying I dated you for Twitter is literally f****** nuts & if you honestly think that damn I lost you.”
Tana and Bella dated for over a year which ended on February 2019.
Although they have remained friends since then, their relationship quickly turned sour after Tana’s engagement. At the time that Tana broke the news on Twitter, Bella shared a photo slideshow of her crying on Instagram with the caption: “When [your] ex gets engaged.”
