European Culinary Season 2014 Greek Cooking Demo at The Aristocrat

When I heard about the up-coming Greek Cooking Demo at The Aristocrat in Roxas Blvd Manila, I knew I just had to attend it! I may not be well acquainted with Greek cuisine, but I’ve always been so curious about it since Greek Food seems so delicious yet healthy.

Many people aren’t aware of this but our cultures are quite very similar because both Filipinos and Greeks LOVE to eat and are family-oriented. And I strongly think that if we only try to learn and appreciate Greek cuisine more, we will definitely learn a lot from them. Perhaps this was the reason why I traveled all the way from far far Fairview to Manila only to partake in this wonderful event!

Last June 30, The European Culinary Season 2014 had its culminating event entitled “Enchanting Greek” with a Greek cooking demo by Greek Chef Anthony Kouroustsavouris of the Culinary Institute of Aristocrat which was then followed by an evening with overflowing cocktails and an extravagant feast featuring the best of Greek cooking and signature dishes by The Aristocrat hosted by Madam Priscila Reyes Pacheco, President of The Aristocrat. EU ambassadors and cultural counselors including EU Ambassador Guy Ledoux, chefs and representatives from the partner restaurants also graced the event.

That afternoon, Chef Anthony demonstrated on how to make simple Greek dishes like the Tzatziki, Chicken Pie and the classic Greek dessert called Kataifi! 

 

 

 

 

After the Greek Cooking Demo by Chef Anthony, we all headed to the cocktails event also held at The Aristocrat..
