We haven’t seen the last of American Idol just yet, even though they already had their “final season”. It seems that the reboot of this reality talent show is well underway, and it’s got a lot in store for long-time fans of the show.
It has already been confirmed that Ryan Seacrest will be returning to host the American Idol reboot, and one of the judges has been confirmed to be Katy Perry!

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest himself, the pop star promised to fill the prestigious shoes of Simon Cowell himself, sharing that she thought he “was just truthful.”

As for her co-judges, Katy shared that she would like to work with the legendary Lionel Richie and the young Charlie Puth–both of whom has been rumored to be part of the new panel of American Idol judges.
Katy praised both Lionel and Charlie, calling Lionel “an icon,” and saying that having Charlie on the team would give the show something “a little more fresh.”
