In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the “Thinking Out Loud” singer revealed: “I realized that I’ve been smoking for 10 years and that’s… bad.” He also added that he already stopped smoking for a week and a half, explaining that he “usually starts again after 3-4 days,” and how making it past the week is actually a very good thing. (We’re happy for him!)
During the interview, he also showed off and explained the meaning behind his lion tattoo. He elaborated, “Well this is the thing a lot of people had a go at me for this they were like ‘that seems like quite a stupid tattoo,’ but I played the biggest venue you can play in England and sold it out for three nights, which is Wembley Stadium, and England’s national emblem is a lion. And all my tattoos are things that I’ve done in my career and they are all leading to the middle bit which is the lion. That’s the stadium. I feel like this is every party of my career put into one and I think it looks cool and I don’t really care if anyone else does too.”
