During their sold-out “Grand BINIverse” concert at the Philippine Arena on February 15, the nation’s girl group unveiled a teaser for their upcoming “BINIverse” extended play (EP). One of the tracks teased is a song titled “Secrets,” featuring the popular Korean-American singer-songwriter.
Following the announcement, the international artist expressed his gratitude on X (formerly Twitter).
“Such a blessing and honor,” he wrote.
Previously, the former Day6 member shared that he loves listening to the P-pop girl group’s song “Karera.” Indeed, it’s a full-circle moment for the singer-songwriter.
“Having grown up in a system where I have to write pop, that line is a line I would’ve loved to write in a studio,” he said in an exclusive interview with WhenInManila.
The 32-year-old singer shared a snippet of the hit track during the interview. When he learned that the song’s message is “life is not a race,” he developed a deeper appreciation for it.
“Now I like it even more,” he shared. “This really strong hooks make me want to go back to the studio and write… They inspire me.”
Aside from “Secrets,” the EP also includes “Cherry on Top,” “Cherry on Top” (Binimo Remix), “Blink Twice,” “Zero Pressure,” and “Out of My Head.”
“BINIverse” EP is set for release on February 27.
