Eva Le Queen, a finalist in the first season of Drag Race Philippines, is set to represent the country and the region at the inaugural season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars.

Eva Le Queen will compete against 11 other queens from other Drag Race franchises in front of RuPaul for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win and earn a spot at the International Pavilion of Drag Race Hall of Fame.

The queen is the second Drag Race Philippines contestant on a global edition of the show, following Marina Summers’ run on RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World.

In an interview with WheninManila.com in 2020, Eva Le Queen shared that she started drag when she joined a competition in Singapore. She said, “I had friends who were drag queens then, and they asked me to give it a try. The rest is history. It was love at first drag, I guess.”

Eva Le Queen described her aesthetic as conceptual. She said, “My dragย naman kasi is about telling stories rather than entertaining. My looks usually depend on the story Iโ€™m telling when I perform. Pero no matter the outfit, I guess I always paint myself the same. My mug is almost always unclockable [so good no one can say anything bad about it] and fish. When I transform, I have this thing in my head to be unearthly beautiful.”

Since her run on Drag Race Philippines, Eva Le Queen has become a host, advocate, producer, and the โ€˜motherโ€™ of the Philippine drag scene. She has produced and mounted some of the biggest and most attended drag shows in the Philippines, giving opportunities to other drag queens. The queen is also the matriarch and CEO of the drag talent agency The Playhouse.

Eva Le Queen is also an inspirational leader and a key figure in the LGBTQIA+ equality movement. She has been a keynote speaker at several plenary talks, including TED+ Talks, She Talks Asia, PFIP Pride Summit, and many more.

Ru Paulโ€™s Drag Race Global All Stars premieres August 16, 2024, on streaming platforms WOW Presents Plus and Paramount Plus. New episodes air every Friday.
