A video of Donny Pangilinan and Kathryn Bernardo during Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda’s wedding made rounds on the internet, sparking speculations. However, the “Can’t Buy Me Love” actor was quick to shut them down.

For those who missed it, Donny Pangilinan was captured on video interacting with Kathryn Bernardo, who appeared to be enjoying herself while dancing at the wedding reception of Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda. Donny attempted to offer a drink to the ‘A Very Good Girl’ actress, but it seemed his gesture was unsuccessful. This short clip led to speculation about a romantic connection between the two.
However, it turns out the interaction was simply a misinterpreted act of kindness. During a press conference for the upcoming “GG (Good Game) The Movie,” in which Donny Pangilinan stars, he addressed the issue. According to him, his actions toward Kathryn Bernardo in the viral video were purely friendly.

“Syempre wedding ng friend namin ‘yon. We had a great time,” Donny Pangilinan said before explaining, “Lahat naman kami friends sa show biz. Binabantayan namin ang isat isa. Ayun lang yon.”
The groom also took to X (formerly Twitter) to further clarify that Donny Pangilinan, as one of Robi Domingo’s groomsmen, was just looking after Kathryn Bernardo, who is among their wedding guests. “Just for the record: we’re all friends here. We’ve got each other’s backs. No issues, please. Also, being the groomsmen, [Donny Pangilinan] and [Darren Espanto] helped us out in taking care of all of the guests,” Robi Domingo tweeted.
