Donald Trump is making a political comeback after winning the 2024 United States Presidential Election.
On November 6 (Philippine time), he secured victory over Kamala Harris, making him the 45th and 47th president of the United States. He’s also the second former president in U.S. history to successfully reclaim the White House after losing a reelection bid while in office.
Trump clinched the 270 electoral votes needed for victory afterย Pennsylvaniaย andย Wisconsinย were called in his favor in the early hours of the 2024 United States Presidential Election.
In January 2021, a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol following his false claims of election fraud in an alleged attempt to overturn his 2020 defeat. With that, he has been indicted on two federal charges. He was also convicted of 34 felony counts of business fraud.
Trump will be inaugurated as the new U.S. president on January 20, 2025.
