Does This Video Show Corrupt Cebu Police Officers Extort P1500 From a Foreigner And His Girlfriend?
The below video is currently making the rounds on social media, allegedly showing how a foreigner and his girlfriend fell victims to corrupt police officers in Cebu.
It starts with the rider making a u-turn and him then being stopped by what appears to be Cebu traffic police. The video ends with the pair leaving PHP1500 lighter, the money allegedly having been taken by the cops who make a speedy exit. Watch the video and judge for yourself:

Until now, we have not been able to verify the original source of the video or the facts of what happened, so we must keep an open mind that something else might be afoot. Sadly, though, it is not unusual for stories like this to make the rounds.
