Deaf Filipina Beauty Queen Christine Balaguer Among State Finalists of Miss Universe Australia 2024

Deaf Filipina beauty queen Christine Balaguer continued to break barriers as she became one of the state finalists of Miss Universe Australia 2024. The Miss Manila 2015 first runner-up shared her recent milestone through an inspiring Instagram post.

“I’ve earned the honor of being selected as a state finalist for Miss Universe Australia! This milestone is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to the power of dreams transcending borders,” she wrote.

She recalled both challenges and victories she faced, from joining beauty pageants in the Philippines to finally making it to the international scene, which she said was a “testament to the strength of perseverance and the beauty of diversity.”

Balaguer emphasized that being part of Miss Universe Australia served as a platform to represent the deaf community and those who have been told their dreams are “limited.”

“This opportunity to represent in the prestigious Miss Universe Australia pageant is more than a chance for personal glory; it’s a platform to amplify the voices of those who’ve been told their dreams are limited.”

She added,” Breaking barriers is not just a goal; it’s a commitment to paving the way for inclusivity and showcasing that beauty knows no bounds.”

The Filipina beauty queen expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her in this journey. She also said this milestone paves the way for others to achieve their dreams and break stereotypes.

“This isn’t just about me; it’s about opening doors for others and proving that with passion, determination, and unwavering belief, one can conquer any obstacle.”

“Ready to shine on the Miss Universe stage, I carry the hopes and dreams of many. Let the journey inspire and empower, for we are all universe-worthy!” she concluded.
