EcoFlow has officially introduced its PowerOcean Single-phase system to the Philippine market, expanding the brand’s presence in Southeast Asia’s home energy storage scene. Already rolled out in several European countries, the system arrives at a time when more Filipino households are seeking reliable ways to manage high electricity costs and address recurring power interruptions.

The launch reflects a growing interest in residential energy independence. While solar panel installations have become more common, many homes still can’t fully store or use the power they generate. EcoFlow positions PowerOcean as a way to bridge that gap by combining solar storage, smart management, and dependable backup power in a single setup.
One of the key things EcoFlow highlights is the system’s emphasis on efficiency. The inverter supports up to 12 kW PV input, and the battery system uses up to 95% of its stored power. It also incorporates AI-driven time-of-use scheduling, which automatically decides when to charge, discharge, or sell excess energy back to the grid. The system factors in electricity prices, weather forecasts, and a household’s usage patterns to help users get the most value out of their setup. Daily and monthly cost projections are also available in the app, refining over time for better accuracy.
PowerOcean is designed to grow with a household’s needs. Storage starts at 5 kWh and can be expanded to 10 kWh or 15 kWh without major installation changes. The batteries use CATL’s LFP cells with up to 6,000 life cycles, and the system includes a 10-year warranty—details that may appeal to homeowners investing in long-term energy solutions.
Safety features are also built in. PowerOcean uses LFP batteries paired with a Battery Management System that monitors each cell to detect potential issues early. The system is IP65 rated, allowing it to operate reliably even in hot, humid, or rainy environments, which are common across the Philippines.
On the user side, the EcoFlow app serves as the main control center. It displays real-time household consumption, solar generation, and battery status, and can be managed through voice commands with EcoFlow’s AI assistant. The idea is to make energy management simple, even for users new to home storage systems.
Before arriving in the Philippines, PowerOcean had already established a presence in European markets such as Germany and the UK, where it has received recognition from industry publications and awards programs. EcoFlow is now bringing that experience to Southeast Asia as interest in smarter, more resilient home energy setups continues to grow.
