Cupcakes for Real Chocolate Lovers Available at Sweet Saturdays
Who doesn’t love cupcakes? I know I do. While I am the ultimate sucker for red velvet cupcakes, I also happen to be a sucker for chocolate bars. Well, Sweet Saturdays brings both cupcakes and chocolate bars together in their delicious designer cupcake creations.
When this box of 12 Sweet Saturdays cupcakes arrived at my doorstep, I couldn’t wait to share them with my friends (aka other fellow chocolate lovers) and see their reactions coz, come on! The minute I opened the box, this is what I saw at first glance:
Sweet Saturdays Cupcakes
Fellow chocolate lovers, this sight is sure to get your mouth watering instantly. I grew up with a never-ending relationship with chocolate bars and have been craving them since childhood – as I am sure you have. If this is the case, then Sweet Saturdays will definitely be a dream come true for you.
Aside from the evident Nestle Crunch bar atop two of the cupcakes seen above, I also saw M&M’s and what seemed to be peanut butter icing – “Is that a Reese’s Pieces flavoured cupcake?” I thought. It seemed like we would need to play a guessing game here, but we were definitely up for the challenge!
The Nestle Crunch cupcakes are the ones that all of my friends fought over – and who can blame them? The Nestle Crunch bar atop the cupcake in itself is enough to make anyone want to sink their teeth into it with gusto!
What I originally took to be a peanut butter cupcake actually proved to be a Dulce de Leche cupcake. I actually liked this cupcake a lot because it gave a different twist compared to the other cupcakes in the box. Very Filipino. Very delicious.
This was one of the sweetest surprises in terms of cupcakes for me. What initially seemed like a regular chocolate cupcake with an M&M on it turned out to be a Reese’s Stuffed Nutella Cupcake. That’s right. That’s Nutella icing and when you bite into it, there’s a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup inside. Pure heaven!
These two were sweet surprises, too, especially the bottom ones. The top cupcakes are Cadbury Milk Chocolate Cupcakes and the bottom cupcakes are Stuffed Ferrero Rocher Cupcakes!!! Yes, there is a piece of Ferrero Rocher hiding inside of those cupcakes, so don’t get fooled by their basic appearance. My friends all kicked themselves when they realised what they missed out on and ended up fighting for bites of them in the end. :p
Most of the cupcake frostings by Sweet Saturdays are made with Nutella spread, except for the Hershey’s, Dulce de Leche and Cadbury Milk Chocolate ones, which are frosted with their own ganache. The cupcake batter is made with Nutella, too – yum yum yum! As for the actual cupcakes, they are stuffed according to their flavours. Aside from the ones mentioned above, they also have Reese’s, Snickers, Twix, Kit Kat and Oreo cupcakes.
Sweet Saturdays isn’t just an online dessert business famous for their ingenious selection of Stuffed Nutella Cupcakes, though. They also have Stuffed Nutella and Stuffed Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Cookie Pies, as well as Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and Cadbury Milk Chocolate Cakes on offer that I cannot wait to try out in the near future!
Aside from providing such delicious delicacies to satiate everyone’s sweet tooth, Sweet Saturdays takes things up a notch by baking their stuffed desserts on the actual day of delivery, ensuring that you get to eat them at their best form.
Sweet Saturdays’ cupcakes are packed in boxes of 6 at Php390 and boxes of 12 at Php660, though solo boxes can also be requested if needed at Php65 to Php85 (depending on the flavour). The minimum order required is 6 pieces, though.
So, fellow chocolate lovers, get your cupcake fix from Sweet Saturdays – I promise you won’t regret it. Ferrero Rocher cupcakes FTW!!!
