Cristine Reyes and Marco Gumabao, along with Dominic Roque, got baptized together at a Christian church in Quezon City. The three shared their spiritual milestone on their respective social media accounts, as they reflected on both their shared and individual experiences.

“Overflowing with gratitude for God’s grace,” Dominic Roque expressed after getting “baptized with love and faith,” especially alongside his “closest friends in the church that feels like home.”
“Grateful for the community, the pastors, and the journey of worship,” Dominic Roque continued, mentioning Favor Church Manila. “Thank you, Pastor James,” he added before expressing his love for the celebrity couple.

Meanwhile, Marco Gumabao stated: “Today marks another milestone in my life, I publicly declared my faith in Jesus through the sacrament of baptism. A sacred moment of rebirth and renewal in Christ, immersed in faith and surrounded by love.”
Marco Gumabao additionally shared a brief story about his spiritual journey. “I’ve been a Christian for almost 20 years now and this is my 2nd baptism,” Marco Gumabao revealed. “I’ve had moments in my life where I was on fire with my faith in Christ and I thought that the fire would never burn out, but there were also moments where I was searching for myself because I simply drifted away from Him–minsan mainit, minsan malamig. I would find joy in worldly things, where in fact, our joy should be found in Christ.”
Nonetheless, Marco Gumabao remained faithful, getting baptized again as an adult. “Life here on Earth is not perfect, and it will never be the way that we want it to be. But having Jesus at the center of our life changes everything. Life has more meaning, life has more purpose,” Marco Gumabao shared.
“Now that I am once again baptized in Christ, the old ways are gone, and the new has come. I publicly declare my faith in Him and will always put God in the center of ALL aspects of my life. I don’t know the plans or purpose He has for my future, but one thing is for sure, I will be ready for it and I will trust Him! Wherever God calls me, I will make sure that His name will forever be glorified through my life. From darkness into light, submerged in faith and covered by grace,” Marco Gumabao declared.
Before concluding his post, Marco Gumabao penned a loving message to his girlfriend, Cristine Reyes; and friend, Dominic Roque.

Finally, Marco Gumabao ended with words of encouragement to his followers: “To you who’s reading this, I want you to know it’s never too late to go back to Jesus. Open your heart and let Him in.”

In Cristine Reyes’ post, she talked about her relationship with God. “I know that God has always been in my heart. I’m not perfect, but I try my best to follow His will,” Cristine Reyes began. “I feel like now is the right time to share this belief with everyone. I really feel it in my soul, and even though I know there will be obstacles, I want to let Him guide my life because I know that His presence is the only certainty in this world.”
She goes on to share how the community changed her life. “Upon my initial entrance, I was met with a gracious reception and an atmosphere filled with worship, awesome sermon and fellowship. Gradually, these elements have begun to dismantle the emotional barriers I had constructed over the years due to the hardships and grievances of my past,” Cristine Reyes recalled.
It is evident to me that I have discovered a sanctuary within this Christian community. My earnest prayer is that the divine protection and blessings of God will continue to be bestowed upon this church, with a special mention of the Aiton Family and all the devoted ministers.
Cristine Reyes also wrote an emotional dedication to her boyfriend Marco Gumabao, saying, “@gumabaomarco, your consistent love and constant support in good times and bad bring me happiness. I hope that God’s care and direction will accompany you always as you chase after your goals and ambitions. Your compassionate nature deserves fulfillment, and I am confident that your greatest wishes will be granted, with God’s favor… Amarah and I are rooting for you. I love you.”
And to Dominic Roque, Cristine Reyes messaged, “Bukas palagi ang pinto namin sa’yo. Lab na lab ka ng mahal ko.”
The actress also expressed her love for Marco Gumabao’s sister Gita, and Gold Jacinto.
