Influencers Launch “Creators Against Corruption” in Push for Government Accountability

Content creators are no longer just making us laugh, cry, or binge-watch their content. They’re also stepping up to take on corruption.

A group of Filipino influencers officially launched Creators Against Corruption (CAC) on September 11, 2025, in Kapitolyo, Pasig. The movement brings together storytellers, gamers, tech reviewers, lifestyle vloggers, and more, united by one cause: demanding transparency and accountability from the Philippine government.

CAC’s launch comes in the wake of mounting public outrage over alleged ghost flood control projects and corruption scandals involving the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Carlo Ople, CAC’s lead convenor, emphasized the urgency of the movement:

“Now is not the time to be fence-sitting or on the sidelines. We are called to be part of this battle against the raging corruption happening in the Philippines today.”

According to CAC, creators have the power to mobilize their audiences beyond entertainment and use their platforms to inform, empower, and inspire action. The group plans to release educational content, host online discussions, and collaborate with civic organizations to push for reform.
