Couple Who Bought ‘The Conjuring’ House Shares It Still Has Paranormal Activity

A couple has recently bought the farmhouse that inspired the horror movie The Conjuring and they’re saying that a couple of spooky things have been happening in the house.

By now, the movie’s plot is well-known among the general public, but if you need a refresher, The Conjuring is about a family that moves into a farmhouse in Rhode Island. As they’re trying to settle into their new home, paranormal activity starts happening around them and particularly targets their matriarch. They seek help from paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren who reveal that the farmhouse is haunted by a malicious spirit of a witch who used to own the land. The movie was based on real events which occurred during the ’70s.

Fast forward to 2019 and, apparently, there are still entities living in the old farmhouse.

According to LADBible, Cory Heinzen and his wife Jennifer posted on Facebook last June that they bought a “little farmhouse with a crazy history to it”.

Apparently, that crazy history is what led Cory and his wife to purchase the property in the first place. He’s been a paranormal investigator for about 10 years and has admitted to being fascinated by the Warrens. He and his wife are planning to fix up the property to preserve its history before opening it up for guests and fellow paranormal investigators.

However, Cory also shared that doors have opened by themselves and that they could sometimes hear footsteps and knocks in the house. He’s apparently had a hard time staying at the house by himself. He said that he doesn’t believe that anything evil is there anymore (shout out to the Warrens!) but it’s “very busy” with activity. The couple is planning to open the house to the public later this year.
