Come Dali: A Modern Surreality Art Exhibit32

Last October 4, Blue Crayon Events and Productions, in partnership with, Loudbasstard, Rappler.com, WhenInManila.com, and PinoyExchange.com launched the opening night for a month long art exhibition entitled, “Come Dali: A Modern Surreality Art Exhibit” at the Backyard Food Truck Community.

The gates opened at around 6 p.m as crowds gathered and waited for the program event to start. The program event started at 7 p.m as the guest host, Gio Puccini, welcomed everyone at the Come Dali Art Exhibit and introduced the chosen organization beneficiary for the event the Ivolunteer Philippines. Their president and founder, Mr. JB Tan, was introduced and called upon onstage to enlighten the crowd regarding what is Ivolunteer, its main objectives and mission-vision which is “making every Filipino a volunteer”.

After the talk from Ivolunteer’s JB Tan, the crowds were encouraged to observe inside and view the art exhibit. Many were amazed on the works of the young and talented artists as dozens of art enthusiasts were pretty impressed on how well they played with the chosen concept. As for some visitors who also happen to be experienced painters, even the works of amateur artists are amazing as they can already see some potential with their works as well.

At around 8 p.m, the stage amd sound system were all set, the band performers finally started the backyard jamming session. The first band who performed were the LoudLyric, as their music set the crowd’s entire mood, followed up by the band of the participating artists Jed Dumawal’s Daisy Cats and Cha Medina’s 3M band. Mr. Jed Dumawal one of the participating artist and the composer of Yeng Constantino hit song “Chinito” serenade the crowd with his own version of the song.

For the closing remarks, Rain Ibajo, Blue Crayon’s Marketing and PR Manager, formally introduced and called up onstage all the artists responsible for the artworks displayed at the Come Dali Art Exhibit. Mr. Archie Oclos on behalf of the participating artist, thank everyone who came and travelled from different parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces that attended the opening night of Come Dali Art Exhibit.

Some of the proceeds per artwork to be sold will be donated to Blue Crayon’s chosen beneficiaries; Ivolunteer Philippines and to Trisha Mae Macatangay, a 4 year-old lad from Rosario, Cavite who’s currently suffering from a Stage 3 sarcoma cancer.
