Visiting the cafe early in the morning, we were treated to their breakfast specialty.
The Colle de Don Bosco was light, fluffy, and downright yummy. The toast was warmed to perfection and it tasted quite creamy. I’m not sure the chips make for a good breakfast side dish, though.
Ahh, brewed coffee from the barako capital of the country, Batangas. One cup is strong and enough to perk you up. Sure worked for me.
Don’t let this drink fool you into thinking it’s just another health drink. The malunggay citrus has the right amount of sweetness with just a little bit of tang. This drink is best served cold and probably goes with a big breakfast meal.
All throughout the day and throughout the week, Coffee and Saints serves up specialties for every meal periodโbreakfast, lunch, merienda, and dinner. Their meals are affordable and you get every pesoโs worth and leave the restaurant feeling filled.
Aside from the breakfast treat, I was also given some of their products:
Being much more than just a cafe, Coffee & Saints has provided an avenue for young boys to live up to their motto, “Empowered to Soar High”. Aside from their advocacy, the success of Coffee and Saints also lies in the many trainings that the boys have undergone.
The team behind Coffee and Saints Cafe is proud to have trained under the tutelage of some ofย the country’s most prestigious chefs and culinary personalities: Nancy Reyes-Lumen, celebrity chef best known as the Philippines’ “Adobo Queen” who volunteered to audit the boys’ performances to achieve more efficient and professional waiter service; and Bing Arenas, chef and son of Pangasinan Governor Baby Arenas who trains the boys on cooking and restaurant service. Chef Bing also helped expand Coffee and Saints’ menu and helped improve their food presentation.
When in Manila, be sure to drop by the Coffee & Saints Cafe. Support their cause, their advocacy, and eat to your heart and soul’s content!
