Coco Martin, Sharon Cuneta, Ruffa Gutierrez, and more bag the Legacy Award of Excellence!

During the Philippine Legacy Gala 2023, some of the most outstanding personalities were acknowledged for their respective industries. Following the enthralling presentation of Michael Cinco’s latest collection, the globally renowned fashion icon was given the Legacy Award of Excellence in Global Fashion. Coco Martin, Sharon Cuneta, Ruffa Gutierrez, and more celebrities also received the prestigious award in Television, Music, and Outstanding Achievement in the Entertainment Industry respectively.

The Megastar herself graced the event to personally claim her plaque, which she flexed on Instagram. “Muchas gracias, The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 for this honor,” she wrote. On the other hand, Annabelle Rama received Ruffa’s award on her behalf, while Coco Martin expressed his gratitude through a video message.

Aside from Michael Cinco, Coco Martin, Sharon Cuneta, and Ruffa Gutierrez, other awardees in the fashion and entertainment industry are Halili-Cruz School of Dance founder Shirley Halili-Cruz, internationally acclaimed high fashion jewelry designer Ann Ong, Richwell Trading Corp president and CEO Myrna Tang-Yao (who, FYI, brought Barbie to the Philippines), and politician/philanthropist Margarita “Tingting” Delos Reyes Cojuangco.

In addition, Hon. Juan Ponce Enrile, Ilagan City Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz, Manila City Mayor Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan, and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, were also among the politicians who were presented with the Legacy Award of Excellence at the Gala.

The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 is a fashion charity event that brought Michael Cinco’s latest collection “The Impalpable Dream of España” to the Philippines. It was held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay on November 27 (Monday), naming The Philippine Missionari Della Fondazione Di Carita Inc. and the GUSI Peace Prize Award among its beneficiaries.
