2. Mezza9
I loved Mezza9, not because it was the first place we decided to eat in after arriving at the City of Dreams, but because of its relaxed atmosphere. Situated right by the poolside with an area outside where you can smoke if you are a smoker, it was the perfect place to get to know each other over delicious food, delicious food and more delicious food. And I’m not kidding: the food was delicious!
The restaurant can seat up to almost 300 people and both the interiors and the exteriors are to die for. Props to the Japanese interior designer firm SuperPotato!
Mezza9 is located at the Grand Hyatt and has a wide array of international dishes available for diners from Macanese to Japanese to Chinese to Wine – does wine count? I’m kidding… but there was a lot of wine!
Now, before the food we came, I’ll admit that we had fun touring the restaurant, taking pictures and selfies, and talking. However, when the food started to arrive, it’s like we didn’t know each other anymore. You know how you can have the best conversations with people and just forget they exist because you’re in food wonderland? That’s what Mezza9 did for us.
This appetiser platter in itself was to die for. You see that big ball in the middle of it? That’s burrata, a type of Italian cheese! CHEESE! Yum!
We also had the freshest and most delicious seafood I have had in my life so far. Not even kidding.

Unfortunately, work problems started to pile up after that and I spent the rest of the meal taking calls and making them, so I wasn’t able to taste any of the tasty-looking meat seen above. However, I did make it back in time for dessert where the beauty of this dessert platter awaited me:

The dessert at Mezza9 was actually so good that we were still taking bites from them, even though we had already stood up to leave. Their tiramisu is pure heaven on earth!
