The property’s festive theme, Casa Capiz: Lighting the Way Home for the Holidays, honors Filipino craftsmanship and sustainable community partnerships. The tree was inspired by the property’s Casa Capiz campaign launched mid-2025 and was adorned with exquisite ornaments handcrafted from capiz by Ascott BGC’s partner beneficiary, Bataan Shell Craft Trading. These ornaments, meticulously handmade by local artisans from the municipality of Samal, reflect nature’s beauty transformed into timeless pieces of art, refined home décor, and thoughtful keepsakes.
Ascott Makati – Merry, Blush and Bright
The tree’s soft blush tones represent gentleness and compassion, while brightness represents optimism and the hotel’s responsibility to care, guided by the Ascott CARES program, Ascott Limited’s commitment to responsible hospitality. Ascott Makati also launched Project Blush and Bright: Christmas Gift Drive, in partnership with Best Buddies Philippines, a non-profit organization that advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental diversities. Ascott Makati is also extending the spirit of giving to benefit children with disabilities from San Lorenzo Ruiz Elementary School in Pasig.
Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites Manila – Artistry, Bayanihan, and Sustainability
Joy-Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila showcased a stunning tree that captured the essence of artistry, bayanihan, and sustainability. The design details are made of a collection of recycled and upcycled materials, from Quezon’s bangkuan baskets to Pampanga’s parol, and upcycled Nespresso capsules crafted by the Negrense Volunteers for Change. Every element honored heritage and inspired a greener and sustainable future.
Citadines Amigo Iloilo – Punot-Inspired Christmas Tree
The punot, or bamboo fish trap, serves as a tribute to Ilonggo craftsmanship, a tool that has sustained families by the Panay coast for generations. “Sidlak Sang Bugsay,” or the “brilliance of the oar,” was Citadines Amigo Iloilo’s celebration held last November 21 to ring in the holiday season and pay tribute to the Ilonggo artistry. Built from woven strips of bamboo culm, locally known as sukdap, the tree mirrors the familiar pattern of the punot, reflecting the heart of a community shaped by resourcefulness and tradition.
Citadines Bacolod City – Ilawod (To the Sea)
Citadines Bacolod City’s Christmas tree embodies a spirit drawn to the horizon, embracing resilience, hope, and compassion like water. Crafted from recycled textiles, twigs, and items gathered during the River of Life Coastal Clean-up in Sum-ag, the Christmas tree is adorned with sea-inspired decor—jellyfish, urchins, fish, and flora, mirroring the beauty of rivers and oceans. The tree also pays tribute to the hotel’s efforts toward sustainable and meaningful partnerships with local artists.

This year’s festive theme and Christmas tree design of Citadines Bay City Manila is reliving the magic of Pasko sa Siyudad (Christmas in the City), reflecting the brand’s love for the cities. The tree lighting ceremony brought together the joyful voices, bright moments, and the true spirit of the season.
Citadines Benavidez Makati – A Starry City Christmas
Citadines Benavidez Makati showcased a sustainable Christmas Tree adorned with parols of different sizes, the traditional Filipino lanterns normally used as Christmas ornaments. With the tree lighting ceremony held at the al fresco rooftop of the property, the team lit up the tree, which stood tall against the night skyline. Citadines Cebu City’s 2025 Christmas tree shines with decorations inspired by the Pusô (hanging rice) — a timeless symbol of Cebuano culture and the weaving traditions that have been passed down through generations. The property partnered with ANTHILL that provided the puso ornaments. ANTHILL is an organization dedicated to supporting indigenous communities and keeping the Filipino weaving heritage alive through heartwoven fabrics, tapestry, and handcrafted merchandise.

Lyf Cebu City unveils its sustainable Christmas tree made from repurposed towels, sourced from its sister property, Citadines Cebu CIty. To strengthen the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, the towels used to craft the Christmas tree will not be discarded and instead be upcycled into sustainable designer clothing, in partnership with Hem and Her and FilFabric by Get Spotted. Guests were given a preview of the upcoming collection through a short fashion showcase highlighting eco-friendly creations.

Inspired by the wonders of Mayon Volcano in Bicol, Albay, the property honors the element of fire with its sustainable Christmas tree design. Drawing inspiration from Mt. Mayon and the historic Casagwa Ruins located in the province of Albay, Bicol, the property infused cultural storytelling and sustainability into every detail of the design. Derived from the Bicolano word “magayon,” which means beautiful and is associated with the legend of Daragang Magayon, the design pays tribute to the natural wonders along the Pacific Ring of Fire, including majestic volcanoes and diverse landscapes.
