Fans are buzzing about which role he will play, with theories swirling—including the possibility of him portraying a villainous Captain America, especially since Robert Downey Jr. will star as Doctor Doom in the highly anticipated sequel. However, his role remains under wraps, as of writing.
To recall, Evans retired from the role of Captain America in 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” passing his iconic shield to Sam Wilson, portrayed by Anthony Mackie. He made a surprise cameo in “Deadpool & Wolverine” as Johnny Storm from his role in “Fantastic Four” earlier this year.
“Avengers: Doomsday” is set to be released on May 1, 2026, marking the first of two new “Avengers” films. The second, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” is slated for release on May 7, 2027.
We’re excited to find out which role Evans will play!
