Chooks to Go Reinvades Blogapalooza 2014
If there’s any booth that drew the attention of Blogapalooza visitors much like a magnet for 2 consecutive years, it has to be Chooks to Go. Amidst all the everyday work stress, bloggers wanted simply to have fun and excitement – and that’s where Kwelavan clicks and impresses.
Kwelavan is a high-tech, interactive game booth that showcases characters Chikoy & Tom Crew. Since its first rollout where it had a total of three mini games, Kwelavan has added two new games to its repertoire! The first new game is Chookstacle Course where users will jump and duck while trying to go through a perpetual obstacle course. The longer they survive, the higher their score is! The second new game is Chook Chop Chicken where users are tasked to chop the flying oven roasted chicken into as many cuts as they can without hitting any of the sauce bottles. Points are deducted when a participant hits a sauce bottle. Why? It’s because their chickens are just too good even without sauce!
From our observation, you can see visitors enjoying themselves while moving and shaking in front of the Kwelavan monitor. More than the fun factor, they are literally burning calories while doing it, so it’s a healthy activity, as well.
To make the event more experiential for bloggers, Chooks to Go also launched a blogging contest with a premium prize that is hard to resist – GoPro Camera. Each participating blogger should blog his/her unique experience within a month after the Blogapalooza event was held. Their criteria for choosing the best blog are as follows:
o 40% Quality of content- How well did they share their experience of Kwelavan? Would it make people want to try the game as well?
o 30% Creativity of content- How “Kwela” is the post?
o 30% Uniqueness of content- What gives the post an edge above the other posts? Did they include a video and/or photos?
Given a chance to present on stage, Chooks marketing representatives introduced the many surprising and innovative things about the brand. They emphasized that Chooks-to-Go is the first brand ever to boast the tagline masarap kahit walang sauce, while introducing the oven-roasted concept amidst the common charcoal-grilled filled field. After this, a trivia game ensued whereby selected bloggers-contestants were asked to answer questions on an iPad while their answers were being flashed on the big screen. The blogger with the highest score was awarded instantly with a brand new GoPro camera! That really came as a big surprise.
Overall, Chooks-to-Go emerged as one of the top exhibitors in Blogapalooza 2014 in terms of crowd-drawing factor and blogger positive feedback. And we cannot wait to see Chikoy & Tom Crew again as they flash their new tricks on their return for Blogapalooza 2015.
