Chef JP Anglo proves that Filipino cuisine continues to make waves in the global scene! His very own Dubai-based Filipino restaurant, Kooya Filipino Eatery, has been awarded as Favorite Homegrown Restaurant at the 2024 Fact Dining Awards Dubai.

The renowned chef shared the good news on social media, proudly showcasing the prestigious award. He also gave a glimpse of the event, where Kooya Filipino Eatery was announced as the winner in the said category.
“We did it guys! We got the award as the favorite homegrown restaurant in Dubai! This is so so special because finally Filipino food is getting the recognition it deserves,” he beamed.
Chef Anglo expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported them and to Fact Magazine for recognizing Filipino cuisine.

Kooya Filipino Eatery is Chef Anglo’s first international restaurant. Located at Jannah Place Hotel, Nasaq Street, Marina Promenade, Dubai Marina, it serves signature Filipino dishes such as kare-kare, chicken inasal, crispy pancit canton, sisig, and more. Aside from Kooya Filipino Eatery, he also manages Filipino restaurants Sarsa Kitchen + Bar and Kafé Batwan.
This year’s Fact Dining Awards Dubai was held on November 7 at Palazzo Versace Dubai. The award-giving body recognizes excellence in the food and beverage industry. Winners are awarded based on public votes and critics’ opinions.
