Catriona Gray Speaks Out on Online Bullying, Body Shaming, and Loving Yourself

Catriona Gray was unafraid to speak her mind on a number of topics that her fans started asking her about when she went on Twitter to start a spontaneous Q&A.

When asked by a fan what her stand is on online bullying, Catriona said: “It is never, ever okay to put someone down for the sake of ‘expressing your opinion’. With words come power and we should be using those words to build someone up and not pull them down.”

Another fan asked for her take on body shaming, which comes in light of recent news that she was called “fat” by a Thai beauty queen.

“Bodyshaming is hurtful and [should] never be tolerated,” Catriona replied. “If anyone reading this too has been bodyshamed, I know how it feels. I’m sorry you’ve had to experience that. But [know] that you are more than your appearance. You are a capable, unique and worthy person. And you are never alone.”
