Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves just helped the Binibining Pilipinas pageant achieve a milestone this year as the first-ever female tandem to host the pageant’s coronation night!
In a post that Catriona made on her Instagram, she announced this achievement as “pageantry redefined” and called everyone to watch “history” be made during the live event this week.
The Binibining Pilipinas coronation night will be held on June 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. It will be live-streamed via the Binibining Pilipinas official YouTube page and through the A2Z channel.
Four women out of the 34 official candidates will be crowned as the following: Binibining Pilipinas International, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe. Winners will then represent the Philippines in the respective international pageants.
Bea Patricia Magtanong of Bataan, Samantha Mae Bernardo of Palawan, Emma Mary Tiglao of Pampanga, and Leren Mae Bautista of Laguna will crown their respective successors at the end of the event.
The 2020 edition of the beauty pageant had been postponed multiple times over the year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
