Casio Has Released a ‘Stranger Things’ Watch—Here’s a Closer Look!

Fans of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things can now cop a watch inspired by their favorite show.

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. recently announced the release of the A120WEST-1A, a.k.a. the Stranger Things watch, in collaboration with the Netflix show. Stranger Things is a mystery adventure series set in 1980s small-town America, and is “a love letter to the 80s classics that captivated a generation.” Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are currently streaming globally on Netflix.

Just like the show it was inspired by, the Casio A120WEST-1A features retro elements that reference the 80s culture. The watch is also based on Casio’s iconic A120 design—a watch inspired by the brand’s popular digital watches in the 1980s. But true to the show, the design of the A120WEST-1A also pays homage to the ‘Upside Down,’ an alternate dimension in Stranger Things that exists in parallel to the human world.

Casio shared more details about the A120WEST-1A:

“The watch face depicts the world of the Stranger Things characters, with pop, colorful front buttons reminiscent of the 1980s with a Demogorgon appearing at the center, as he appears in the human world. When the LED light button is pressed, the show name is revealed printed upside down, implying the presence of another world on the other side. The back of the case and translucent band are designed with eerie tentacles stretching out from the underworld, evoking the connection between the two worlds.”

A120WEST-1A is now available in authorized Casio stores nationwide and is priced at PHP 9,060 SRP.
