Budget Breakdown: Visit Jomalig Island for 3 Days for Under 1,500 PHP

Jomalig Island in Quezon has risen quite in popularity lately, with Pinoys suddenly noticing its golden sand and natural, unspoiled beauty. Well, guess what. According to Patrick, you can visit this beautiful beach for 3 days and 2 nights for just below 1,500 pesos!

Here’s how he did it:

How to go there?

Kailangan mo munang makarating sa Real, Quezon.

a. Van – 220 ang pamasahe, medyo matagal mapuno pero mas mabilis ang byahe dahil hindi na titigil tigil para kumuha ng ibang pasahero. (3 – 4 hrs travel time)

b. Raymond Bus ordinary – 170 ang pamasahe, every hour may naalis expect 4 – 5 houurs travel time.

** Lahat ng yan ay sa Legarda, Manila lang ang terminal. Yung van, sa tabi ng Raymond Bus Terminal. (Ang Raymond Bus Terminal ay medyo malapit sa Arellano University)

** Kung nakavan ka, pwedeng dun ka na mismo sa Port or sa Palengke bumaba (depende kung saan dumaong yung bangka). Pero kung nakabus ka, sa bayan ka bababa magtrike ka nalang either sa palengke or sa port. (Kaya naman lakarin kung sa palengke nakadaong yung bangka… tanong tanong lang kayo kung asan yung sakayan paJomalig)

**Sa Real, may iba’t ibang klase ng bangka…

a. Yung passenger boat na medyo maliit at kasabay nyo yung mga nagtitinda ng isda, P350.00
b. Yung passenger boat na mas malaki, P400.00
c. Boat na may cargo.

** Passenger boats leave at 10am, and cargo at 12noon, it is suggested na mas maaga kayo pumunta.
** You can either stay sa topload ng boat, or sa baba.
** May kasamang food ang pamasahe sa boat. Magbaon ng madaming food para di ka magutom kasi 4hrs – 7hrs ang byahe depende sa alon.

Where to Stay?

a. You can just pitch your tent dun sa Salibungot beach for free!
b. Tatay Rudy’s resort… P500.00 a day, fan room.
c. Homestay with the Locals, prices vary.

**Homestay is available for 650.00/day inclusive of food (breakfast, lunch, merienda, dinner).

** You can hire a boat, for Island hopping if the weather is good or just chill at Salibungot beach.
