The first session was basically a check-up, so I had to come back for another session to start the dental fillings.
I needed more than 10 fillings and I was quite worried because my jaw clicks. I’ve also been having troubles having my mouth open for a long time, but my dentist helped me through it and gave me time to relax and rest every time it feels “nangangalay.” The bite block helped too! I’ve never encountered that in other dental clinics.
After all the necessary fillings, I was scheduled for a root canal treatment. I was actually scared because I heard from friends that it will hurt like hell. I sat in the dental chair scared of what was going to happen, but it was actually a breeze. I was even watching a movie while the treatment was being done. The treatment took less than an hour because every time they had to take an x-ray, it was just inside the room and the results appear automatically on the screen. The hands of my dentist were light too so I was very comfortable during the treatment. He is specializing in RCTs so I knew I was in good hands.
After that, another dentist continued on the second phase of my RCT. It took a few hours because she had to prepare my teeth for the crown, take impressions, and a temporary crown which I requested to have an extra strong grip because it will be quite a while before I can go back and finish off the treatment.
GAOC specializes in dental surgery but has all dental services ranging from cleaning, gum & TMJ treatments, restoration, whitening, dentures, bridge, dental implants, and many others.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Steve Mark Gan when I visited the Greenbelt Residences Branch and when they gave me a tour of their clinic, it isn’t like anything I’ve ever seen before.
Aside from the dental treatments, GAOC also prides itself with their efforts for dental tourism. Many foreigners go to the Philippines just to have their treatments done in GAOC, a true testament that their services are not just good but world class.
After the treatments I had with GAOC, I knew it was life changing. I can now chew on the right side of my teeth, the clicking of my jaw had lessened, and I am now proud to put a huge grin of my face because, as my brother calls it, I am now just a few treatments away to “ngiting artista.”
