Prime Video’s “Off Campus” is definitely the hottest romantic comedy series right now, and even we have to admit that we’re just as obsessed with it as the rest of the world is.
The When In Manila team was among the fortunate few to have gotten to speak with the cast of “Off Campus” in an online interview, and we couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to ask the boys Belmont Cameli (Garrett Graham), Antonio Cipriano (John Logan), Stephen Kalyn (Dean Di Laurentis), and Jalen Thomas Brooks (John Tucker) what they think their character’s dream date would be!
“I’m sure a great date for Garrett is a concert,” Belmont said. “He’s still a huge fan of music. [And also,] I think the Garrett we meet in the beginning of season 1 doesn’t want to go on a date to a hockey game ’cause he’s like ‘it’s already too much.’ But I think maybe he’s evolved enough by the end of season 1 that he’s like, ‘You know what? I can appreciate this as a spectator.'”
In Dean’s case, Stephen noted that the character already “gets a lot of things” due to his financial status and believes that Dean would appreciate something simple.
“Maybe something simple for Dean because everything is always very expensive and nice,” Stephen said. “So a diner date and a movie, maybe rollerblading or something. He’s really good at that.”
Antonio, meanwhile, made a reference to a specific scene that happens in Logan’s book “The Mistake.” “I would say he probably would have fixed up a really nice 1950s car or something and taken somebody out to the water tower, going up to the water tower, having a picnic up there, seeing the town,” he said, while adding: “Maybe take them to the ice rink or something, do a little skate around.”
As for Tucker? “I’d say a little home-cooked meal,” Jalen shared, which is notably something that his character is known to do for other people. “That, and then going horseback riding or something.”
