Boys Night Out Says Goodbye After 19 Epic Years with ‘The Last Night Out’

For 19 whole years, Boys Night Out (BNO) wasn’t just some radio show, it was a whole mood. Every single night, the chaotic laughs and unfiltered chika of TonyToni, Slick Rick, and Sam YG (and later with Gino and the fierce addition of Tin) created something magical that went way beyond the radio booth.

BNOs Last Night Out

“The last 19 years didn’t feel like 19 years—it just felt like hanging out with people I love being around,” shared Slick. And honestly, we felt it too! He added, “And we did a good job because we loved what we were doing.” True that, Slick! Night after night, the listeners found their comfort zone in those familiar voices that helped us laugh through the crazy, heal from the heartbreak, and just feel less alone.

Out of all the iconic BNO moments, TonyToni remembers one that truly hit different: the night in 2012 when ‘Jojo, the Love Survivor’ called in.

“Tumawag siya kasi gusto niyang tumalon sa building sa Ortigas because he found his girlfriend cheating,” TonyToni recalled. OMG, a full-on heavy moment!

For 45 minutes, the Boys—with Ramon Bautista joining the barkada that night—did what they’ve always done best: they listened. They talked Jojo through the pain, dropped some jokes to make him smile (their signature move!), and convinced him to hold on. What started as a late-night radio segment became something so much more profound—a literal lifeline. Jojo even became a regular caller, proving that BNO was never just about talk; it was about taking care of your own. Aww.

For almost two decades, we basically watched the Boys’ lives unfold in real-time, from their crazy singlehood confessions and late-night antics to seryoso milestones like marriage and fatherhood. Then came Tin, who brought a whole new fire to the show: a sharp, funny, and fearless female voice who could go toe-to-toe with the Boys! Iconic.

“It was really me joining such radio legends,” Tin said. “I’m the only girl amongst four boys, and I think that’s also why I’m there. I balance them sometimes and I offer a different perspective. It was also a big sign that the show and the hosts themselves were evolving.” She adds that the Boys welcomed women who are smart and opinionated with open arms, and “they never told us to be less. They just told us to be us.” Girl power!

The show, like the hosts, grew up. From gimik nights out to chill twilights in, BNO was proof that you can totally settle down without losing your spark. The stories may have changed, but the laughs and the signature frenzy? Never did!

They even went through COVID together. The Boys caught the virus together, turning an uncertain time into another shared experience. Through isolation and fear, they still found ways to make us all laugh on-air, reminding us that humor can survive even the darkest days.

Unfortunately, the much-awaited finale show wasn’t allowed to air. Aww, sad face. But the Boys are not letting it end there! They’re coming together for The Last Night Out—BNO’s final, grand bow. This is their toast to the spirit that kept the show alive for 19 years, continuing the legacy in stories like Jojo’s and all the memories we share.

“Last Night Out is actually not for us. This is the night that we give back,” says Sam. “This is us honoring every single person who was part of Boys Night Out and who made it the show that it was for 19 years.”

“They say you’re only good ‘til your last show,” TonyToni adds. “So I feel like fans deserve a last show. I think they deserve a goodbye.” We totally agree!

So, get ready, fam! Join TonyToni, Slick Rick, Sam YG, Tin, and Gino for The Last Night Out, a massive celebration of almost two decades of laughter, love, and late-night magic. The Lighthouse Group is teaming up with the Boys to mount this much-deserved closure.

“What people can expect is, everything that you grew up with listening to BNO, you’ll get to see, you’ll get to hear,” shares Gino. “It’s a celebration essentially… of the 19 years of Boys Night Out. Saktong inuman, saktong tambay and hopefully, like what we always aim for every show, we’ll leave you entertained.”

“Last Night Out” will be on November 10 at Xylo at the Palace. Stay tuned and follow BNO’s official pages for ticketing details and announcements and get ready to shout one last, legendary time: “Yeah, meenn!”
