Last February 14, concertgoers were treated to a Valentines Day like no other as everyone’s favorite Youtube brothers Fabian, Alejandro, and Daniel — aka Boyce Avenue brought down the house at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, serenading everyone with their gorgeous voices and smooth music… it was a night of awesome music!

The kilig-til-you-drop fest went on for about two hours, yet every second spent was totally worth it. The band played a handful of their most loved covers, as well as original songs from their EPs… because yes, they do write original songs, and they sound AMAZING.
One lucky fan got to hug the boys and took a selfie with them!
Boyce Avenue left fans in a daze as they put their signature smooth sound to hits like “Teenage Dream”, “Wake Me Up”, “Because of You”, “Story of My Life”, “Sky Full Of Stars”, “Fast Car”, and much more. And to just show the fully-packed Araneta how much of sweethearts they really are, they even asked a fan to go up onstage, gave her a rose, and took a selfie with her!
The stage was simple, unpretentious, and straightforward— apart from a few classic tricks like smoke machines, glitter, and sparkling lights, the boys crooned and played with their guitars against a simple backdrop. Nothing fancy, just amazing live music.
In between numbers, the band would repeatedly remind the audience how much they loved Manila— the city responsible for their acclaimed success, and whose fans stayed true and loyal to them after they hit the scene about six years ago. From “We love you dearly, Philippines”, “Manila, we missed you so much”, and Daniel’s “Manila, you’re looking sexy tonight!”, we couldn’t forget it when Alejandro genuinely said, in his best accent, “Mahal namin kayo”, eliciting cheers from the audience.
Some of the most memorable covers of the night were the last few songs such as “Locked Out of Heaven”, “Fix You” and “Use Somebody”, where the crowd was up on their feet.
And before we knew it, the set was over. We were sad to see the brothers take their final bow, but we knew that they gave us more than our money’s worth in the last two hours.
