In a report published by TMZ, Tim died peacefully at his Los Angeles home after struggling with serious health issues for more than a decade.
His fame skyrocketed after playing the gender-bending mad scientist in “Rocky Horror” in London’s West End theater district. Then, he reprised the role in the 1975 film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” The film soon became a hit as a midnight movie, or a low-budget nonmainstream film programmed for late-night screening or broadcast.
He also had memorable acting performances in films like “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” “The Three Musketeers,” and “Muppet Treasure Island,” as well as television series like “It” and “Tales from the Crypt.”
May he rest in peace.
