The Philippines, with its glorious beaches and great summer nightlife is big a tourist destination during the hotter summer months.
Expecting the tourist rush that accompanies the coming of these hotter months, Boracay Island has “intensified their campaign against illegal tour guide and commissioners preying on the visitors of this resort island.” The Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) cautions tourists against engaging illegal tour guides as there have been reports that some of these guides have been taking advantage of the availing visitors. The BTAC reminds the public that “only registered tour guides and coordinators are allowed to transact business with tourists.”
