2. Sunnyside Cafe
Are you an all-day breakfast lover? Then head on to Sunnyside Cafe located at the Station 3 beach front. Open Monday to Sunday from 9 am until 2 pm, Sunnyside Cafe serves Filipino and American sets of breakfast.
They serve huge servings of pancakes, and the all-time Filipino fave, Tapsilog. By the way, we only ordered half of the pancake and look how BIG this isโit’s definitely good for sharing between two people.
American breakfast or Pinoy breakfast? Both are my faves! Lol. I love the sweetness of their beef tapsi and java rice.
Also check out their associated establishments, Coco Mama Ice Cream at D’ Talipapa and D’ Mall Palengke and Super Magic Burgers located at Station 3 beachfront. Super Magic Burgers uses prime quality beef meat, while Coco Mama Coconut Ice Cream is the only establishment in the island that sells coconut ice cream.

1. Jeepney Stop
This unique Pinoy restaurant is located in the middle of D’ Mall and is right in front of Lemoni Cafe. You can’t miss this newly opened restaurant; their Jeepney-turned-bar offers Filipino cocktails and opens daily from 10 am till 1 in the morning.
Filipino cuisine with a twist is their specialty here. This bad boy balut is one of their must-try dishes. I know, not everyone can eat balut, but trust me, you will love this dish (this coming from a non-balut eater).
Goodbye Philippines, on the other hand, is a wrap filled with cheese, ground pork, mixed veggies, and lots of chilies alongside with a sweet-tangy dip.
Tortang Talong is definitely an all-time Filipino favorite. But they do it with a twist here. Eggs are not used for the batter, but instead they cook it and make a crispy crepe topped with minced pork, onions, and tomatoes.
Where to Unwind and Relax
Whenever I am at the beach, I always look forward to a good massage. I’m a sucker for spa and foot reflex, so here are two of my faves in Boracay island.
2. Footzeez Spa
Located at D’ Mall, they’ve been catering clients since 2005. According to the owner, Mommy Ann, many local celebrities have become their frequent clients. They’ve serviced Asian and Hollywood actors, too. The spa focuses on foot reflex, and over the years ventured into body massage and nail spa/care applying techniques through certifications achieved abroad.
For only 600 php (13 USD), you will have the best foot massage in the island. For more info visit www.facebook.com/FootzeezBoracay
1. Mandala Spa and Villas
Mandala Spa is not your ordinary spa and is, by far, the most lavish in the island. Not just by the looks but the service itself is exceptional.
Private spa rooms with two massage beds, bath tub, huge toilet area, and a relaxing view will give you the utmost relaxing feel.

We all work hard to have a better life, whether for ourselves or for our family. And spending some me-time or escape from the hustling and bustling city life will help you regain energy and focus. Eat well and relax every once in awhile. And if you’re going to, might as well be in one of the world’s best islands.
