BLOGCON: Reinvent Your Theme

In the digital age where connecting to people is as easy as one click, we can now express ourselves through just about anywhere on the web. We update our Facebook status, tweet our thoughts in Twitter, share photos through Instagram, and of course, we blog. We blog just about anything – from fashion, food, places to art, student life, and even just everyday living. But is there an actual way to blog properly? What else do we need to know about blogging? Is there more to blogging than mere self-expression?

TomasinoWeb, the official online student publication and a recognized organization of the University of Santo Tomas, brings you its premiere blog conference, BlogCon: Reinvent Your Theme on September 21, 2013, from 8 AM to 5 PM, in the Albertus Magnus Auditorium, Albertus Magnus Building, University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

The conference aims to invite people, especially students with blogs to examine and remind themselves of their purpose and intents in blogging. For aspiring bloggers, they will know how they will find the purpose to blog and choose as to whether they will simply be inspired by others, or inspire others themselves. The conference will have speakers coming from their own different fields.

The speakers for this event are Saab Magalona on Finding Your Purpose to Blog, Dani Barretto on Fashion Blogging, Marco Ho a.k.a. Bogart the Explorer on Travel Blogging, Ace Libre on Music Review, Blooey Singson on Book Review, Tiara Aracama on Inspirational Blogging, Noks Sosa on Culture and Arts, and Joan Dino on Campus Blogging.

This event is open to all students – high school or college, and non-student participants. Registration fee is Php 350 for regular registrants (registration ends Sept. 15, 2013) and Php 375 for late registrations and walk-ins. Interested participants may register at Limited slots only.
