BINI Sheena’s acting debut in the latest episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK) had everyone in tears and rooting for the youngest BINI member.

In a heartwarming Instagram post, Sheena revealed that sharing her most vulnerable moments with a larger audience was terrifying.

“I was so scared of reliving moments in my life that completely ruined me, akala ko hindi ko kaya (I thought I couldn’t do it), and I would just be a mess. But God was here, He has always been here for me kahit I have resented Him so much back then,” she wrote. “He made me feel my mommy and ampa’s love all over again as if they never left me. And right there and then, I got their message for me.”
The BINI member also expressed her gratitude to MMK for allowing her to share her story with the world.
“[MMK], you have healed me in ways I never thought I needed. Thank you for making me feel what it feels like to have a complete family again. It is an honor for my life to be featured and be an inspiration to everyone,” she shared.
Through her story, she hopes to inspire viewers who have lost someone special in their lives: “Through this, I will have a chance to inspire so many people. People who are broken, lost, and hopeless. Through me, I can tell a message that once you [lose] something, it will not be the end for you, instead, it can be a start of something. We grieve and cry until we feel nothing, and it is okay. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and He will comfort and never leave us, I promise you.”
The 20-year-old BINI star concluded her post with a personal and heartfelt message to her mother.
“Mommy and ampa, death may have taken so much from us pero (but) it will never take away the dreams we all promised together for me and for our family.” Lalaban ako (I won’t give up), okay? Para kay (For) amma and kuya. I miss you both, and I love you so much mommy ko and ampa ko.”
The most recent MMK episode marks Sheena’s first acting debut. The episode also featured Angelica Panganiban and the rest of the BINI members.
Following the episode’s release, MMK host Charo Santos expressed how proud she was to have gotten to know the BINI member.

“Maalala Mo Kaya” (MMK), which has been recognized as the longest-running drama anthology series, made its much-awaited comeback on free television and digital streaming platforms in April.
BINI Sheena’s episode is the second MMK story featured this year, following the life story of Sofronio Vasquez, portrayed by Elijah Canlas.
