The Bea Alonzo-Gerald Anderson issue made waves once again this week as his mother, Evangeline Opsima, went on the record with ABS-CBN to air her out her opinion on the matter. She shared that she had never approved of Bea as his girlfriend and heavily criticized her. A few days after the interview went public, Bea posted her own thoughts on Instagram.

Evangeline’s interview had her emotionally state: “Bea, siguro alam mo na ako walang gusto sa’yo bilang naging girlfriend ng anak ko. Pero wala akong magagawa, ginusto ka ng anak ko. Ina niya lang ako. Ginusto ka ng anak ko, minahal ka ni Gerald. Hindi ka niya binastos kailanman.”

She continued to talk about how any relationship issues should have been settled privately instead of the scandal it turned into.

On her part, Bea Alonzo took the time to post a very zen message on her Instagram account. She shared a photo of herself wrapped in a blanket and looking serene. She captioned it: “Chillin’ while thinking of writing letters to myself just so I’m reminded that I am constantly surrounded by love.”
This sentiment seems in response to any possible criticisms or negative energies directed towards her. Plus, her use of the hashtag #OneDayAtATime is very telling of the post as a reference to her breakup with Gerald. She first used the same hashtag in a previous post which talked about moving on from the relationship.
