Where to Find Delightfully Moist Banana Bread in Metro Manila You’ll Fall in Loaf With

Pinoys love their banana bread and today, on Banana Bread Day, we would like to acknowledge some of the best places in and around Metro Manila where you can savor this moist and delicious pastry. We asked our WhenInManila.com readers for their favorite restaurants and cafes that serve mouthwateringly good Banana Bread, and here’s the list that we came up with:

Wildflour Bakery

Wildflour is indeed the go-to restaurant-cafe to find all the bread and pastries you could ever crave. Their Banana Bread loaf continues to be among its best-sellers—so satisfyingly delicious and topped with seeds for a nutty finish.

Baguio Country Club

When in Baguio, aside from the iconic strawberry desserts, we always make sure to hunt down Baguio Country Club’s addicting banana bread as pasalubong for ourselves and our loved ones. Exceptionally moist, dense, and certainly made with the sweetest and ripest bananas, Baguio Country Club’s banana bread will always leave you wanting more. Thankfully, we can now have it conveniently delivered here in Metro Manila through resellers like BCC Delivers Manila (https://www.facebook.com/baguiocravingsmanila/).

EDSA Shangri-La

When we think of banana bread, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel’s is almost always at the forefront of everyone’s minds—at least those who’ve gotten to try it. It remains to be one of the best we can ever find in the Metro because of how soft, sweet, and moist it is. They currently have five variants to choose from: Classic, Walnut, Chocolate, Cream Cheese, and Supreme (which is just their Banana bread with everything on it!).

Mad Batter Co.

Mad Batter Co. started in a humble home kitchen serving family and close friends with recipes from the heart back in 2018. Five years later, this passion project has grown into a successful business venture of premium freshly-baked goodies being served to its loyal community.

“What sets Mad Batter Co. apart is that we try our best to cater to all types of people and flavor palettes,” owner Baci shared with WhenInManila. “Monthly we change flavors and try to make them as unique as possible to keep our customers excited and on their feet. More than that, we cater to people on all kinds of diets and who have certain food restrictions. We want to show that being healthy can be very enjoyable too. Thus, we have a lot of sugar free, gluten free and vegan items on our menu.”

This, of course, includes their mini banana loaves which are gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, and contains no refined sugar. You can get it in three different flavors: chocolate chip, classic walnut, and peanut butter.

Mad Batter Co. has a physical store located at Avisha Center Building, Marikina City that’s open everyday from 10AM to 8PM, but those who’d like to have their goodies delivered at home can order through their website (https://mad-batter.co) or through their Instagram account (@mad.batter.co).

Fuzine by Myrv

Myrv was a pasta saute cook in an Italian restaurant when he was living in the US back in 2019, but eventually decided to pursue his strength which is cooking hot food and calling it “Fuzine” (meaning Online Cloud Kitchen). “Everything was hot food and I realized that I had to have at least 1 dessert item for my menu—the banana bread,” he shared with WhenInManila.com.

He experimented with what would go well as ingredients to make the perfect, moist, not “nakakaumay” banana bread until he came up with one that had a great balance between soft and crunchy, and with a unique streusel topping made with butter, sugar, flour, and walnuts.

“What is special about my crumble recipe is that it has a mild hint of saltiness that balances with sweetness of sugar. It melts together with butter which coats the walnut and making it taste better (like candied walnuts),” he added.

“Majority of my feedbacks have similarities: ‘Love the crumble on Top! It is sweet and salty at the same time.’ It took me 2 years of R&D and listening to customer feedbacks in coming up with the final recipe I’m using today.”

Orders can be placed through fuzinebymyrv.com, via Instagram DM at @fuzinebymyrv @myrvynee, or by calling 0917 251 7558.

Lala Bakes

Located in BF Homes, Parañaque, Lala Bakes is well-loved by its customers for its simple yet delightful banana loaves that are all made with love: no preservatives, no artificial flavoring, and packed with real bananas.

Lala Bakes was started by baker Chila years ago as a means to make money until she found another job. Eventually, though, she came to fall in love with baking for her community.

Order her different banana bread variants including the premium flavors: Belgian Chocolate Banana Bread and Belgian Chocolate with Walnuts, Sea Salt, and Caramel. Yum!

Bake On PH was started by a pair of siblings, after the brother who is a culinary graduate began to cook and bake for the family during the lockdown. Leah Paragas shares with WhenInManila that even though baking was never the strength of her brother, they managed to work together to find the perfect banana bread recipe which they now use for their online shop.

Leah takes pride in ensuring that every banana loaf is packed with high-quality ingredients while remaining affordable for their loyal customers.

Definitely try their OG Banana Bread or their Dark Chocolate Banana Walnut Loaf!
