Avril Lavigne, the queen of the pop-punk music scene of the early 2000s, just made her Tiktok debut this week and we’re convinced that she’s a vampire.
The Canadian singer made waves online as she posted her first lipsyncing video wherein she sang her own song “Sk8er Boi” before revealing her special guest: true-life skating legend Tony Hawk!

Avril wore her iconic long blond hair and emo eyeliner look as well as a fashion style reminiscent of the scene days: a black tank top, black shorts, black sneakers, and a red and black striped tie hung around her neck. Seeing her just propelled us back to our emo days, rocking hard to her songs in our bedrooms, screaming about why everything seemed so “Complicated,” or how hard things are “When You’re Gone,” and hoping for “My Happy Ending.”
Her Tiktok coincided with Go Skateboarding Day which is an annual celebration of the sport. Tony Hawk himself posted a short video on Instagram, this time featuring Avril having a go at the short skating ramp. “Breaking news: Sk8er Boi singer learns skating move from old Sk8er Man,” the caption of the post read.
According to reports, Avril has finished her new pop-punk album and is set to release all-new music sometime in the next few months. Her last album was released in 2019 called “Head Above Water.”
