Strategically located at Evangelista in Makati City, AurumOne isn’t your typical hotel. Not only because it is smack in-between the residential areas — making you feel like you’re just at home — but also because it was created and founded by hardworking Overseas Filipino Workers, putting their blood and sweat into bring the hotel to life.

AurumOne Makati boasts of modern designs from its minimalist rooms to its clean and welcoming front desk area. It’s a simple hotel, but it prioritises providing high quality service to its guests and visitors. From the front desks to their manager and servers, you can definitely feel the hospitality and warmth that Filipinos are well known for here.

Suite

Featuring a total of 63 guest rooms – 42 deluxe rooms, 9 suites, 11 lofts, and 1 premiere suites – you will surely find the perfect room for you. The place is also pet-friendly if you want to bring your loving pet with you. The accommodations are pretty affordable, too, starting at Php2,500. Booking is also very easy, as the hotel is listed on major booking sites like Agoda and Expedia.

Aside from the rooms, they also have a function room which is ideal for small conferences and meetings. They don’t have a pool, but you can always explore the vicinity and even find interesting finds nearby like the small vintage shop that we found just across the street.

During our visit, we stayed at the AurumOne Suite, which we immensely enjoyed. With a queen-sized bed, an LED TV, and fast wifi, we had everything we needed within the four corners of our room. They also had a Family Mart at the ground floor, so there was no need to go very far for our needs (a.k.a. midnight snacks and our night cap).

Deluxe Room with Twin Beds

Looking for great places to eat? Don’t fret! AurumOne is just a couple of minutes away from SM Mall of Asia and the central district of Makati. It’s also a 15-minute ride away from the airport in case you have a flight. Even in the wee hours of the night, you’ll surely make it there in no time! They also offer airport transfers and shuttles at an affordable price.

Premiere Suite

Aside from the hotel’s facilities and wonderful services, though, what made them stand out for me was the history on how it came to life. A social enterprise and a project of a private equity group and Kapatiran sa Kasaganaan Cooperative (KsKCoop), the hotel serves as an investment and job integration for our fellow Filipinos overseas. They invested their hard-earned money from their jobs abroad to put up the hotel, making AurumOne the epitome of bayanihan in our culture.
