Apparently, some Can’t Buy Me Love viewers think that Anthony Jennings and Maris Racal’s pairing is outshining its lead stars, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. In a recent interview with the press, Anthony Jennings addresses sapawan issue between SnoRene and DonBelle.

“Hindi ko naman binabasa lahat ‘yun e… May mga naririnig ako, may mga nagsasabi sa akin ng gano’n,” he admits. Nevertheless, Anthony Jennings reassures that he, Maris Racal, Donny Pangilinan, and Belle Mariano are friends to begin with. And because of their friendship, they don’t worry about the “sapawan” issue regarding their fans’ popularity on social media. He continued, “Sabi ko kay Dons, ”Wag mo na pansinin ‘yun ‘tol.’ Kasi kami magka-kaibigan kami talaga… Wala namang gano’n sa amin.”

“‘Yung casual (viewers), siguro sila ‘yung nagsasabi nu’n, pero sa amin wala. Mahal namin ang isa’t isa talaga. Wala kaming pakiramdam na mabigat para sa isa’t isa,” the Can’t Buy Me Love actor added.
Anthony Jennings also gave credit to the entire cast and crew of the show. “Alam niyo ‘yung isang project, hindi pwedeng isa lang ‘yung gumagawa. Kailangan nagtutulungan ‘yun. Pano mo mabubuo ‘yung story, ‘di ba, nang kayo lang? Siyempre may mga connections yan, connected yan,” he explained.
Additionally, he holds Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano in high regard.
“Wala akong masabi kina Dons. Si Donny ang laki ng in-improve niya talaga. Kita niyo naman ang layo ni Donny kay Bingo, and, of course, si Belle, matagal nang magaling si Belle.”

“Sobrang nagpa-pasalamat ako na sila ‘yung naka-trabaho ko. Ang gaan ng set namin, ‘yung community namin. As in, lahat kami doon magka-kaibigan talaga. Wala akong masabi sa kanila. Sobrang love ko si Donny at si Belle.”
SnoRene rose to fame with Anthony Jennings portraying Snoop, Maris Racal portraying Irene, and their endless bickering, which surprisingly was mostly adlibbed. Snoop is the close friend of Donny Pangilinan’s character, Bingo, while Irene is the half-sister of Caroline, played by Belle Mariano.
