On May 5th, the National Telecommunications Commission issued a cease and desist order against ABS-CBN. It was issued on the basis of the expiration of its congressional franchise. The order effectively shut down the country’s largest TV network.
Angel Locsin has been one of the loudest voices protesting the shutdown, especially regarding ABS-CBN’s 11,000 workers who are now jobless. She’s aired her heartache over the situation in various posts, but recently she’s begun to vent her anger as well.

“Sa lahat ng nagmamagaling at nagsasabi na ‘buti nga nagsara ang ABS’, sana masarap ang tulog ninyo ngayon gabi at nakapagbayad na ng bills,” the actress fired back at those rejoicing over ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
She continued to point out the hypocrisy of those celebrating the hardships of others and the loss of livelihood, saying: “Sana rin masarap rin ang mga napamalengke ninyo na ipapakain sa inyong pamilya. Sana walang magkasakit na kailangan ipagamot at gastusan.”

In an Instagram post, Angel maintained her fierce stance in responding to critics of ABS-CBN.
“Sa mga (fake) accounts na hinaharass kami para manahimik, pasensya na po kayo at hindi kami magpapa-bully,” she captioned.
