For an entire month, we did not see Amy Perez in her regular TV shows. Apparently, she took a one-month leave from work and finally spoke up about it in her most recent vlog. Despite all the challenges in her life, T’yang Amy said that she had always put everyone before her as an act of love. “Since nagstart ‘yung pandemic, ‘yung lockdown, I was always making sure that everyone around me is okay but I totally forgot about myself,” she said.
Because of this, she revealed: “Na-feel ko na napagod ako, marami akong hindi na-process.” The actress and TV host who is also a mom got real about her mental health. She shared, “Sabi ng doctor, ‘di ko na naisip na slowly, nauubos na pala ako. Hindi ko napapansin napapabayaan ko na pala ang mental health ko tapos ‘yung sarili ko. So that’s the reason why I had to take this break for a month from ‘Skto’ and ‘It’s Showtime.”
During her break, Perez made sure that she used that time wisely–by recharging, relaxing, and regaining her strength. She also hopes to inspire everyone by sharing her experience. She wrote, “Para sa mga nanay, tatay, ate, kuya at bunso who are currently struggling with themselves… this episode is for you — YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK!”
